Position Overview:

They are actively seeking a Senior Estimator to join their Preconstruction and Estimating team. This individual will prepare and coordinate full estimates on large, complex commercial projects, providing both conceptual and final estimating input. The role requires collaboration with owners, architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve technical matters throughout project negotiation and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare complete conceptual and final estimates for large, complex commercial projects.
• Conduct detailed quantity surveys and review drawings/specifications.
• Lead pricing, subcontractor coverage, and bid-day coordination.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and manage subcontractor and supplier solicitations.
• Assist in developing general conditions, alternates, and unit prices.
• Engage directly with clients, architects, and engineers during preconstruction.
• Oversee bid evaluation, buyout phase, and handoff to project management.
• Support change-order pricing and cost tracking for field operations.
• Mentor junior estimators and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive team culture.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 5 years of estimating experience in commercial construction.
• Proven experience with quantity take-offs, bid strategy, and subcontractor coordination.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with estimating databases, spreadsheets, and take-off software.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
