Position: Commercial Roofing Estimator
Location: Nashville, TN
Salary: $90,000–$110,000 per year
We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator to join our growing team in Nashville, TN. We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, commercially minded, and confident working with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and project teams.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial roofing projects
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents
- Perform detailed material and labor takeoffs
- Conduct jobsite visits to evaluate existing roof systems and project conditions
- Develop accurate cost estimates, proposals, and bid packages
- Obtain and analyze pricing from vendors and subcontractors
- Identify potential project risks, exclusions, and scope gaps
- Work closely with project managers, sales teams, and operations to ensure accurate handoffs
- Track bid opportunities, deadlines, and project requirements
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site walks when needed
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, general contractors, vendors, and subcontractors
- Help develop winning bid strategies while maintaining healthy project margins
What We’re Looking For
- 3 years of experience estimating commercial roofing projects
- Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, materials, and installation methods
- Experience with roof takeoffs, blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
- Ability to accurately calculate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs
- Strong understanding of construction pricing and project costs
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office
- Experience with The EDGE, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, AccuLynx, or similar estimating platforms is a plus
- Experience with TPO, PVC, EPDM, modified bitumen, BUR, coatings, and metal roofing is highly preferred
