Position: Erosion Control Technician
Tiedt Nursery, LTD is an erosion control and landscaping contractor located in Waverly, IA. We currently provide erosion control and landscaping services throughout the state of Iowa in the Commercial, Residential, Municipal and State sectors.
Responsibilities Include:
- Silt fence installation, maintenance and removal
- Hydroseeding
- Erosion control mat installation
- Grading
- Landscaping
- Tree planting
- Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans
Job Requirements:
- Strong work ethic
- Basic understanding of construction and agricultural practices
- Willingness to learn
- Positive attitude
- Valid Class C Iowa driver’s license. Class A CDL preferred, but not required
- Maintenance of tools and equipment
- Experience operating agricultural equipment
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 LBS
- Ability to work outside 100% of the time in all weather conditions
- Dependable and able to report to work on time

Typical schedule is Monday through Friday 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Occasional overnight travel is required.
