Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and adaptable Day-to-Day Subsitute Teachers to join our educational team at Tidioute Community Charter School for the 2025-2026 School Year . In this role, you will fill in for regular teachers/Nurse and ensure that students continue to receive quality instruction and serve their health needs.and engaging with students across various subjects and grade levels.
Responsibilities
- Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of education.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment.
- Communicate clearly with students, fostering an atmosphere of respect and encouragement.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special needs such as autism.
- Assist in curriculum development when necessary, contributing ideas for lesson improvement.
- Provide tutoring support to students who may need additional help in subjects like math or literacy.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and report any issues or concerns to school administration.
- Engage with students in a manner that promotes their social and emotional development.
Requirements
- Proven experience in classroom management and working with children is essential.
- Background in early childhood education or related fields is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
- Experience working with children with autism or other special needs is a plus.
- Ability to develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to various learning styles.
- Previous experience in tutoring or childcare settings is advantageous.
