Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Warehouse/Counter Sales Associate role based in Virginia Beach, VA. The Warehouse/Counter Sales Associate will receive, inspect, and stock incoming products; pick, pack, and prepare customer orders; and maintain a clean, organized warehouse. The role includes assisting walk-in and call-in customers at the sales counter, identifying appropriate products, generating quotes, and processing sales and returns. The associate will monitor inventory levels, perform cycle counts, and help with shipping activities such as labeling, staging, and coordinating carriers. Daily responsibilities also include using basic computer systems for order entry and inventory lookups, safely operating material-handling equipment, and collaborating with the team to meet service and delivery timelines.
Qualifications
required 5-10 years warehouse experience.
- Ability to perform core warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping orders accurately and safely.
- Strong customer service and counter sales skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, identify customer needs, and provide product guidance.
- Basic computer and data entry skills for order processing, inventory lookups, and use of warehouse or ERP systems.
- Capability to work in a physically active role, including lifting, moving, and organizing materials in a warehouse environment as well as willingness to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Willingness to learn valve, fitting, and related product lines; prior industrial or distribution experience is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and follow safety procedures and company policies.
- High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required as well as forklift certification (we can help certify if needed).
