What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Man/Delivery Driver position at Tidewater Utility Construction?
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Yard Man/Delivery Driver to join our team at our Richmond, VA location. Ideal candidates will be dependable, punctual, and can be relied upon to work independently or with minimal supervision while still meeting deadlines and expectations. This position is full time, year-round.
Duties
- Engage in heavy lifting tasks as required.
- Support construction projects by providing necessary materials and equipment as directed.
- Pickup/drop off of rental equipment
- Purchasing and delivering materials either from the yard or surrounding businesses
- Providing paperwork of all materials to the office as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Clean driving record required.
- Some equipment experience (i.e., front end loader and flat bed truck) experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to stay organized in a fast paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks for extended periods.
