Description
The Mid-Atlantic President will plan, coordinate, and oversee operations in the Virginia locations within the company. The President will ensure that the organization is managed and performing efficiently and effectively using cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead the process of integrating new acquisitions with Tidewater Fleet Supply/TNT Parts by owning the acquisition timeline, action items, and pertinent communication channels between the applicable parties; ensure ongoing support to those involved; delegating due diligence tasks accordingly and following up on their completion; routine status updates before, during, and after deal close to confirm a successful long-term unity.
- Acts as the “Culture Ambassador” for the company by unifying common goals among the locations and embodying our mission and values as one team.
- Seeks collective success by prioritizing their team first and creating an environment that enables others to express new ideas, be themselves, and ask for support when needed.
- Advocates for personal and professional growth through creating, acquiring, and transferring knowledge to continually transform and improve the organization based on these new insights.
- Oversee, develop, and lead the day-to-day activities of the Virginia locations with a hands-on approach that’s dedicated to the success and expansion of the business.
- Collaborates with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems.
- Collaborates with other divisions and departments to carry out the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.
- Regularly reports and follows up on process compliance to drive accountability.
- Ensures that departmental decisions and project plans are in line with the organization’s business plan and vision.
- Establishes, communicates, and implements operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.
- Owns and oversees P&L to include managing budgets, forecast development, financial objectives, and business plans to increase profits and reduce costs through expense control measures.
- Responsible for driving sales, customer growth, profitability, and operational excellence.
- Establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the company's efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identifies opportunities for improvement.
- Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to the chief executive officer and other leadership.
- Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in the Automotive, Truck, Trailer, or Heavy Equipment Parts industry.
- Identifies training needs and ensures proper training is developed and provided.
- Communicates and explains new directives, policies, or procedures to managers; for major changes, meets with staff to explain changes, answer questions, and maintain morale.
- Improves customer service and satisfaction through policy and procedural changes.
- Leads coordination and integration of efforts among operations, technology, warehouse, delivery, sales, and customer service divisions to produce smoother workflow and more cost-effective business processes.
- Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains management-level staff in the department.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the southern locations through direct and indirect reports.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 50 pounds at times.
- Occasional exposure to other worksites that require personal protective equipment.
- Driving to customer’s locations and various branches is required.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years of outside sales or operations experience.
- 5 years of management experience.
- Heavy Duty industry experience.
- Proven track record in meeting sales and gross margin targets.
- Proven financial and business acumen.
