TIDES LLC is a locally owned provider of home and community-based Medicaid services supporting children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Southeast Alaska.
We're looking for a compassionate, motivated, and dependable Job Coach to help individuals develop workplace skills, achieve meaningful employment, and build greater independence. If you enjoy mentoring others, solving problems, and building relationships in the community, we'd love to meet you.
Every day is different—you may be teaching job skills at a local business, helping someone prepare for an interview, supporting workplace success, or collaborating with employers to create inclusive employment opportunities.
What You'll Do
As a Job Coach, you'll work one-on-one with individuals receiving employment services by:
- Assessing strengths, interests, and employment goals
- Developing individualized employment and skill-building plans
- Teaching job-specific tasks and workplace expectations
- Providing on-site job coaching and fading supports as independence grows
- Assisting with resume writing, interview preparation, and job searches
- Teaching workplace communication, professionalism, and social skills
- Building positive relationships with local employers and community partners
- Advocating for reasonable accommodations and inclusive workplaces
- Documenting progress, maintaining accurate service records, and completing case notes
- Supporting individuals in achieving greater independence, confidence, and long-term employment success

Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, vocational services, education, human services, or coaching is preferred—but we are willing to train the right person.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Valid Alaska driver's license
- Reliable vehicle with current insurance
- Ability to pass State of Alaska background check and fingerprint clearance
- Ability to complete required trainings
- Previous experience working with people with disabilities or employment services is preferred but not required.
