Job Summary
Tides Coastal Kitchen is seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Cashier to join the hospitality team. The ideal candidate will welcome guests, accurately process food and beverage orders, operate the POS system, handle payments, maintain an organized cashier area, and support smooth restaurant operations during busy service periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Operate the POS system and enter orders correctly.
- Process cash, card, and other payment transactions accurately.
- Provide guests with receipts and assist with basic payment questions.
- Answer questions about menu items and available options.
- Coordinate with kitchen and service team members to ensure order accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming cashier and counter area.
- Restock menus, receipts, packaging, condiments, and other front-of-house supplies.
- Assist with takeout and pickup orders as needed.
- Monitor order tickets and help ensure orders are communicated correctly.
- Handle guest requests and concerns in a polite and professional manner.
- Follow restaurant policies, food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Assist with opening, closing, and daily cashier duties.
- Support team members during busy service periods.
- Perform additional responsibilities assigned by management.
Requirements
- Previous cashier, restaurant, retail, hospitality, or food-service experience is preferred but not required.
