Overall responsibility - in charge of placement of pipe in trench correctly with regards to location (horizontal and vertical), grade, type, etc.
Specific tasks
Overall responsibility - in charge of placement of pipe in trench correctly with regards to location (horizontal and vertical), grade, type, etc.
Specific tasks
- In charge of leading the pipe and manhole installation process including the belling up, bolting up, proper slopes and grades, and safety.
- Making sure pipe is on grade via the use of elevations or pipe laser.
- Making sure pipe is "Chocked" with bedding stone as to not create "bellies" or horizontal curves (unless allowed in water main installation).
- Making sure water mains are installed correctly as to minimize any potential leaks, proper depths, and with the correct fittings.
- Watch over trench safety.
