Delivery Driver – Downtown Chicago Route (Full-Time)
Tide Cleaners – Mount Prospect, IL
Pay: $20–$22 per hour (based on experience and performance)
Tide Cleaners is hiring a fast, reliable, and experienced Delivery Driver to service our Downtown Chicago locker route. This is one of the most important positions in our company because our customers rely on us to deliver their clothes on time.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- Occasionally, a Saturday may be required if a weekday route was missed due to weather, holidays, or other unexpected circumstances.
What You'll Do
- Start each morning from our Mount Prospect store.
- Drive a daily route throughout Downtown Chicago.
- Service approximately 40–50 buildings with Tide Cleaners lockers (the number of stops varies each day based on customer orders placed through the Tide app).
- Pick up customer garments and deliver cleaned garments back to the lockers.
- Return all collected garments to our Mount Prospect store within a few hours so production can begin on time.
- Work efficiently and complete your route without unnecessary delays.
Additional Responsibilities
- Keep locker areas clean and organized on slower days.
- Replace locker lock batteries when needed.
- Perform basic locker lock changes (training provided if necessary).
- Report any locker maintenance issues.
Requirements
- Downtown Chicago driving experience is REQUIRED.
- Must know Downtown Chicago streets, parking rules, loading zones, and high-rise building access.
- Must be comfortable driving a Ford Transit 250 High Roof cargo van. Previous experience driving large cargo vans is strongly preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Reliable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently.
- Able to lift and carry garment bags.
- English is NOT required as long as you know how to do the job, can use a smartphone and the Tide app, and can complete the route accurately and on time.
Growth Opportunity
Drivers with marketing or business development experience can earn additional compensation after a few months by helping bring in new commercial accounts.
