Role Description The Project Engineer is a full-time, hybrid role based in Louisville, KY. This role is responsible for planning, designing, and executing industrial automation projects, including supporting the development of custom machinery and controls. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with cross-functional teams, preparing technical documentation, managing project schedules and budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Project Engineer will review engineering specifications, assist with system integration and testing, and provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance. The role also involves communicating with clients and vendors, addressing technical issues, and contributing to continuous improvement of project delivery processes.
Qualifications
- Strong project engineering skills, including experience with industrial automation systems and controls.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
- Bachelor’s degree in either Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial automation environments, including familiarity with related hardware and software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on safety and quality.
- Ability to work in Louisville, KY and travel to client facilities as needed.
- Knowledge of CAD tools, basic programming or scripting, and relevant industry standards and regulations is beneficial.
