The ideal candidate will be able to take complex technical information and data, and transform it into clear and digestible reports. The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing reports, SOPs, guidebooks, and related materials, and translating this critical information into clear reports for documentation purposes.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Writing to provide people with easily attainable data through clarity of text.Utilize strong proofreading skills to update/review personal and/or colleagues content.Explain complex concepts in writing, demonstrating clear understanding of common processes and procedures.Implement and analyze effective word choice, text, and documentation structure.Communicate well with other departments to create and deliver a viable end-product.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:1 years experience in the technical writing field, biology, geology, chemistry, or related experience1 years of computer experience, should have experience using Microsoft Office Suite/Google or related software experience.Ability to use mathematics for basic calculations, including percentages and volume.Must be able to take complex data and information and make it easily digestible and in proper formatting for reporting requirements.Must be open to giving and receiving feedback.Must be able to meet deadlines 8:30am-5:00pm PST, with overtime as needed. Must be flexible on work schedules to meet business needs.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English or related field.Experience in water treatment, environmental compliance or related.Licensing & Special RequirementsIncumbent is subject to a criminal background checkObtaining QISP certification is required to comprehend and apply regulations with client documents.WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMost of the work is performed in an office environment. Sitting or standing for long periods may be required.
