About the Role:
As part of the Field Operations team, the Field Technician will play a key role in supporting Clear Waters continued growth, expansion into new service offerings, and ability to address emerging water treatment challenges across diverse geographic regions. This position involves performing a wide range of field tasks related to water treatment and pollution remediation, including stormwater, groundwater, and construction runoff, as well as other environmental services.
The Field Technician will work closely with and provide support to the Lead and Senior Lead Technicians during field operations, following their direction to ensure safe and effective project execution. Success in this role requires a positive attitude, adaptability, and flexibility to meet the evolving needs of our projects and clients.
Core Responsibilities:
As a key member of the Field Operations team, the Field Technician will primarily work independently operating and maintaining water treatment equipment in the field. The role also requires collaboration with team members during system installations, mobilizations, and demobilizations.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, relevant construction experience, and be confident in operating a variety of tools and machinery. This position will also support the shop team with equipment readiness, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), and fabrication tasks as needed.
A foundational understanding of water treatment systems is preferred, though candidates with a willingness and aptitude to learn will be considered. This role involves frequent travel throughout the I-5 corridor and requires the flexibility to adapt to a dynamic work schedule.
Core Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain water treatment systems.
- Support system installation and demobilizations.
- Maintain field logs and essential paperwork.
- Shop and yard support, cleaning, organizing, delivering, etc.
Required Qualifications:
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to communicate with supervisors/contractors efficiently.
- Prior experience in one of the following fields: water treatment, construction/landscape.

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Work is performed primarily on construction sites located in the Puget sound region as well in our Everett shop. This position will be expected and required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas and while on site. Must be able to work in all adverse weather conditions, including long days and weekends. Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds is required. This position will be expected to travel, mostly within the immediate region, up to 30%.
