Position Summary
The Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and improving the flow of materials, goods, and information throughout the supply chain. This role ensures on-time delivery, accurate inventory levels, and efficient transportation, while supporting cross-functional teams to meet operational and customer requirements.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Supply Chain Coordination- Manage end-to-end logistics activities including shipping, receiving, transportation, and distribution.
- Monitor inbound and outbound schedules to prevent delays and resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Track inventory levels, reconcile discrepancies, and support cycle counts.
- Partner with warehouse and not-for-profit teams to maintain accurate stock levels and support timely replenishment.
- Assist in implementing inventory control procedures to reduce waste and improve accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain shipping documents, invoices, and related records.
- Maintain accurate data in logistics systems, inventory platforms, and tracking tools.
- Communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective transport.
- Resolve delivery issues or discrepancies with vendors and carriers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Competencies
Required- 2–4 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, distribution, or related field.
- Proficiency with logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control principles.
- Ability to lift up to 25–40 lbs as needed.
- May require occasional overtime or support during peak operational periods.
- Work environment may include office, warehouse, or production floor settings.
