What are the responsibilities and job description for the Growth Intern position at Ticket Tree?
Boston / Remote · Spring 2026 · Part-time · Base Commission
The Opportunity
Ticket Tree is building the event operating system — starting with ticketing as the identity layer that powers every downstream revenue stream: in-venue spend, sponsorships, merchandise, and media. We're live with paying customers and expanding into new markets. This role sits at the center of that growth.
What This Role Actually Is
You'll work directly with the founders on two fronts: opening commercial opportunities with event hosts, venues, and sports organizations — and tracking the analytics behind what's driving traffic, conversions, and engagement across our landing pages and social channels. You'll help us understand what's working and where to double down.
You won't be starting from scratch. We have outreach templates, sales packages, pitch materials, and campaign outlines ready to go. Your job is to execute, iterate, and own outcomes — not build the playbook from zero.
No Two Weeks Look the Same
This role covers real ground. One week you're building a target list and booking discovery calls. The next you're pulling traffic reports, spotting what a LinkedIn campaign moved, and presenting findings to the team. You'll touch outbound sales, data analysis, campaign tracking, and partner conversations — sometimes in the same week. If you want a role where you sit in one lane and do one thing, this isn't it. If you want to learn how an early-stage startup actually grows, this is exactly it.
Responsibilities
Host & Venue Sales
- Build and qualify pipeline in combat sports, minor league teams, and independent venues
- Run outbound email and LinkedIn sequences targeting GMs, ticketing directors, and promoters
- Book discovery calls and support demos alongside the founding team
- Track deal progress and help manage the sales CRM
Market & Competitive Intelligence
- Identify events and venues still on Eventbrite, Etix, or paper systems
- Build target lists across USL, MiLB, NCAA D2/D3, and combat sports
- Monitor the competitive ticketing landscape and flag relevant moves
Growth Analytics & Reporting
- Track weekly traffic across landing pages, broken down by social source
- Monitor which campaigns, posts, and channels are driving the most qualified visits
- Build simple weekly reports that connect social activity to landing page performance
- Flag trends, drops, or spikes and bring hypotheses to the team
- Help inform content and campaign decisions with data
Content & Outreach Support
- Draft outbound email sequences and LinkedIn content
- Help build case study and one-pager materials from live event data
- Assist with post-event recaps and sponsor-facing reports
What We Bring to the Table
This role comes with real infrastructure behind it:
- Outreach templates and email sequences ready to deploy
- Sales packages and one-pagers for each target market
- Pitch materials and objection handling guides tested in real conversations
- Campaign frameworks and social content outlines for analytics tracking
- A defined target list of 200 organizations across combat sports, USL, MiLB, and NCAA
You bring the relationships, the hustle, and the follow-through. We handle the rest.
Compensation & Growth Path
This role starts part-time with a base rate plus commission on deals you help close. It is designed to grow. As you build pipeline, close partners, and prove out the analytics function, the expectation is a transition into a full-time role with expanded ownership and compensation. We're not hiring for a semester — we're hiring for what comes next.
Must-Haves
- Genuine interest in live events, sports, or the fan economy
- Comfortable with outbound sales — email, calls, LinkedIn
- Comfortable pulling and interpreting data from tools like Google Analytics, LookerStudio, or similar
- Strong written communication; you draft clean, concise copy
- Organized and self-directed — you track what you say you'll do
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift
Nice-to-Haves
- Existing network in sports, venues, or live entertainment
- Experience building simple dashboards or weekly reporting templates
- Familiarity with social analytics (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok insights)
- Background in competitive athletics or high-performance environments
- Familiarity with combat sports, minor league teams, or NCAA athletics
What This Role Is Not
- Not a passive or observational internship — you are expected to drive outcomes, not complete tasks
- Not a traditional part-time role with a defined end date — the goal is full-time for the right person
- Not a large-company support role — you will interact with founders, not middle managers
