Key duties and responsibilities
- Inventory management: Oversee inventory for briefs, over-the-counter medications, gloves, gowns, and other central supply items.
- Ordering and stocking: Ensure the facility is consistently stocked with necessary items by managing the procurement process and organizing inventory.
- Budgeting: Adhere to a budget for all supply purchases.
- Vendor relations: Maintain good relationships with outside vendors to ensure reliable and timely delivery of products.
- Product evaluation: Identify and assess new products and systems that could benefit the nursing staff and the facility.
- Usage management: Communicate with staff to manage and reduce the overuse of items.
- Cross-departmental support: Assist other departments as needed.
Required skills and qualifications
- Education: A GED or High School Diploma is required.
- C.N.A. certification: A Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) certification is preferred but not required.

- Mathematical skills: Basic math skills for adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and calculating percentages.
