Responsibilities
Welding Inspection & Quality Assurance
- Perform inspections of welding and fabrication activities in accordance with project specifications, codes, and procedures.
- Verify welder qualifications, welding procedures, and material traceability requirements.
- Conduct visual weld inspections and coordinate non-destructive examination (NDE) activities as required.
- Review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and ensure required inspection points are completed.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
- Work with field supervision and craft personnel to address quality-related issues and deficiencies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of corrective actions.
- Support client quality audits and project assessments.
- Monitor compliance with project quality requirements and established procedures.
- Communicate inspection findings and quality concerns to project leadership.
- Maintain welding records, inspection reports, and quality documentation.
- Assist with project turnover documentation and quality package assembly.
- Verify completion and accuracy of required inspection and test records.
- Support project reporting and quality metric tracking.
- Promote and support a culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Perform inspection activities in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.
- Support compliance with applicable industry codes, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 5 years of welding inspection or construction quality experience in industrial, power, energy, or heavy industrial environments.
- Experience interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and welding procedures.
- Knowledge of AWS, ASME, and applicable industry codes and standards.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
