Position Description:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced AI/ML Prototype Developer to join our team. This role involves developing innovative prototypes and deploying solutions to evaluate and optimize machine learning models. The ideal candidate will work to capture requirements and implement solutions that integrate, reference, make inferences, and consolidate data into a holistic view.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate directly with customers to accelerate evaluation and tuning of machine learning models.
• Design, develop, and evolve prototype techniques using diverse architectures and methods.
• Perform database administration, dataflow engineering, data wrangling, and model development.
• Deploy and test ML models, ensuring they meet mission objectives and performance standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support in AI/ML projects, including the integration of generative AI capabilities when applicable.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Python (including libraries such as SciKit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch), R, GIT, and experience with Jupyter Notebooks.
• Experience with database administration for relational databases and TensorFlow.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a creative approach to prototype development.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience augmenting, contextualizing, or fine-tuning large language models for generative tasks.
• Familiarity with approaches such as retrieval augmented generation (RAG) and model context protocol (MCP).
   

Physical Requirements:

• This position involves sedentary work with physical requirements expected for at least 50% of the time. Essential functions include prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, and talking.
