Heavy Equipment Mechanic
đź“Ť Asphalt Paving Industry | Full-Time
Starting Pay: $35/hour (based on experience)
We are looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of paving equipment. This role includes both shop work and field service calls.
What You’ll Do
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on pavers, milling machines, rollers, dump trucks, skid steers, and lowboys
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and troubleshoot issues
- Handle service calls and field repairs at job sites
- Travel to job sites as needed
- Deliver and install parts
- Maintain a clean, safe shop and work environment
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working on heavy equipment (paving equipment preferred)
- Strong knowledge of diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Ability to work independently and solve problems in the field
- Reliable, safety-focused, and detail-oriented
- Must hold a valid Class A CDL license
Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the day
