Role Description: This full-time, on-site Field Service Technician role is based in Cleveland, OH, and focuses on installing, maintaining, and servicing TIBA parking systems at customer locations. Daily responsibilities include setting up and configuring equipment, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and performing preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance. The technician responds to service calls, diagnoses technical problems, replaces or repairs components, and documents all work performed clearly and promptly. The role involves collaborating with customers on-site to explain system functionality, provide basic user training, and ensure a positive service experience. The technician also partners with internal teams to escalate complex issues, follow safety procedures, and support continuous improvement of field service processes.
Qualifications
- Technical and mechanical skills: Ability to install, configure, and repair electro-mechanical equipment, perform basic wiring, and use hand and power tools safely.
- Experience with relay logic.
- IT and systems skills: Comfort with computers, networking basics, hardware/software troubleshooting, and working with integrated technology systems.
- Diagnostic and problem-solving skills: Strong aptitude for identifying issues, performing root-cause analysis, and applying effective solutions under time constraints.
- Customer service and communication skills: Capacity to interact professionally with clients, explain technical information clearly, and maintain accurate service documentation.
- Organizational skills: Ability to manage service tickets, prioritize tasks, work independently in the field, and follow established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Education and experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or coursework in electronics, mechanics, IT, or related fields preferred; prior field service or maintenance experience beneficial.
- Additional qualifications: Valid driver’s license, willingness to travel locally to customer sites, ability to lift and move equipment as needed, and readiness to work occasional after-hours or weekend shifts based on service demands. This position is on-call on a rotating basis with other Cleveland Service Technicians.
