Job Title: KITTING PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR – 1ST SHIFT
Location: Ripon, Wisconsin, United States
As the Kitting Production Supervisor, you will lead and coordinate daily kitting and material handling operations within a manufacturing environment. You will supervise unionized shop floor teams, ensure efficient material flow, support production schedules, and drive operational efficiency while maintaining compliance with safety and union standards.
• Supervise and lead material handlers and kitting staff in a unionized manufacturing environment.
• Coordinate daily kitting operations, including distribution, inventory control, and fulfillment activities.
• Ensure production lines are supplied with required materials to minimize disruptions.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities with warehouse and supply chain teams.
• Conduct inventory audits and verify materials against production schedules and documentation.
• Ensure safe and efficient handling, loading, and unloading of materials and products.
• Act as a liaison between production teams, warehouse staff, and buyers to resolve material and delivery issues.
• Generate and analyze operational reports related to inventory, delivery performance, and production support.
• Address supply chain and operational issues proactively to maintain smooth production flow.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve kitting efficiency and reduce waste.
• Approve team schedules, vacation requests, time records, and ensure compliance training is completed.
• Maintain compliance with union agreements, safety standards, and workplace regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree or certification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is an advantage.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or manufacturing supervision.
• Experience supervising teams within a unionized environment.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of shop floor operations, inventory management, and material handling processes.
• Understanding of safety regulations, union agreements, and manufacturing workflows.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment.
• Strong problem-solving and process improvement capabilities.
• Ability to work overtime or weekends when required by business needs.
