We are looking for a Python Developer who will work with the Risk Data Analytics and Infrastructure team to build and enhance risk analytics systems, processes, reports to support the Enterprise Risk team at TIAA. The ideal candidate must have strong experience developing applications and performing data analysis using Python. Key Responsibilities and Duties The candidate will be responsible for developing solutions to improve the end to end monthly investment risk and analytics process. Specific responsibilities of this role include: Improving the time to market of the monthly deliverables (financial risk and analytics data/reports used in the Board report), while preserving the quality of the deliverables Improving the capabilities of the current risk system/process to allow the investment risk team better to manage/ monitor the risk of our investment portfolio. Communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders. Educational Requirements University (Degree) Preferred Work Experience 3 Years Required; 5 Years Preferred Physical Requirements Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work Career Level 7IC Required Experience: 3 yrs of Python Development Experience Preferred Experience: 3 Years Experience in Financial Risk & Analytics preferred Experience with RDBMS (Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL) Experience with Agile methodology Experience with source control system (Git, SVN) Experience with other languages (Java, R) Financial Services experience preferred Experience working in an asset management group or investment bank preferred. Experience with reporting or data visualization tools (Tableau or Power BI) preferred. Related Skills Base Pay Range: $107,600/yr. - $148,500/yr. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
