What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Supervisor II position at ThyssenKrupp North America, Inc.?
Key Accountabilities:
- Meet all Quality Control objectives, projects, and deadlines within budget.
- Supervise daily operations of the Gage Lab, Air Tool Repair, and CMM rooms, ensuring equipment calibration, maintenance, and measurement accuracy meet quality standards.
- Coordinate, assign, and review work of quality control employees across 2nd and 3rd shift.
- Teach, coach, and demonstrate work activities for team members.
- Develop and implement quality control policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of product and process quality.
- Coordinate internal and external audits of quality-related policies and processes, including gage calibration and CMM measurement systems.
- Work within the organization to educate employees on the quality management system.
- Prepare and present reports, as assigned.
- Hire qualified personnel and ensure they receive all necessary training.
- Responsible for conducting performance reviews and disciplinary actions of employees.
- Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements.
- Ensure smooth shift-to-shift handoff and continuity of quality operations between 2nd and 3rd shift teams.
- This is a position that works directly on the warehouse/production floor around heavy machinery.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:

3-5 years experience in a Quality, industrial, maintenance environment, and leadership
- Experience with gage calibration, CMM operation/measurement systems, or air tool maintenance/repair preferred
- Demonstrated leadership and team building skills
- Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of quality management systems applicable to the business
- Ability to work a split 2nd/3rd shift schedule
- Safety mindset
Preferred Requirements:
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and precision measurement equipment
- Previous related supervisory experience preferred.
