This is a full-time hybrid role for a Quality Engineer, located in South Bend, IN, with some remote work flexibility. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality standards, conducting root cause analysis, and developing corrective actions to resolve quality-related issues. This role includes auditing processes, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer standards. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance product and service quality is a key focus area.
- Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS), auditing procedures, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis, problem-solving methods, and continuous improvement methodologies, including Six Sigma or Lean principles.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and metrics for monitoring and managing quality performance.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead quality-related training sessions.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and standards for quality assurance purposes.
- Self-motivation and organizational skills to work efficiently in a hybrid work environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is required; certifications like CQE or Green Belt/Black Belt are a plus.
