Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors with a friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including verifying insurance information and collecting payments.
- Schedule appointments and maintain an organized calendar for healthcare providers.
- Handle incoming calls with professionalism, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
- Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems.
- Assist with medical collections and billing inquiries, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary materials.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth patient flow and communication.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical clinic setting is REQUIRED.
- Familiarity with medical records management and coding systems such as ICD-10 is a plus.
- Proficient in using medical software applications.
- Strong clerical skills, including data entry and document management.
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration is an advantage.
