Position Details
Location: West Monroe, LA
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair overhead cranes, hoists, and machine tools
- Perform mechanical and electrical service on industrial equipment using multi-craft skills
- Diagnose faults in 480V power systems, motors, PLCs, VFDs, brakes, and control circuits
- Perform mechanical work including bearings, gearboxes, couplings, shafts, alignment, and braking systems
- Identify developing equipment issues and recommend corrective actions
- Perform work in accordance with OSHA, ANSI, CMAA, and applicable industry standards
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding findings and recommended repairs
- Complete service documentation and inspection reports
- Follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout and work-at-height requirements
Qualifications
- Experience with overhead cranes and hoists OR general industrial millwright / mechanic experience
- Experience working on machine tools (lathes, mills, grinders, or similar) strongly preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of industrial electrical systems
- Ability to troubleshoot 480V motor control circuits, PLCs, and VFDs
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to travel to customer sites
- Comfortable working at heights
- Technical certification, apprenticeship, or related degree is a plus
