Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-driven, and relationship-focused Catering Manager to join our growing team. This role serves as the primary point of contact for catering clients, managing the entire process from initial inquiry through final invoice and event execution.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, confident in sales, detail oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional client experiences. This position plays a key role in driving revenue through lead conversion, repeat business, and community engagement.
This is a sales-focused role with uncapped earning potential, including base salary, booking bonuses, and commission on events.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the sole communication point between clients and internal teams (kitchen, service staff, and event team)
- Respond promptly to incoming leads and inquiries, converting them into booked events
- Build strong relationships with clients through consistent, professional communication and follow-up
- Guide clients through menu selections, provide recommendations, and prepare accurate quotes
- Create and send proposals, contracts, and invoices; track and manage all client documentation
- Confirm all event details and clearly communicate finalized information to kitchen and service teams
- Ensure seamless execution by providing detailed, organized event information internally
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients from first contact through post-event follow-up
- Actively pursue new business opportunities, including corporate accounts, weddings, and community events
- Represent the company at networking events, venues, and within the local community
- Develop and maintain relationships with venues, planners, and corporate clients
- Track leads, bookings, and sales activity using CRM or internal systems
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, hospitality sales, event coordination, or a similar client-facing role
- Strong sales mindset with the ability to confidently close bookings and grow accounts
- Exceptional organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple events and timelines simultaneously without missing details
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with a team
- Professional presence with confidence in networking and representing the company publicly
