Receiver

Position: Full Time Receiver

Reports To: Grocery Manager

Supervises: PT Receiver, Stockers

Department: Grocery

Pay Level: 3

Purpose: To process all incoming deliveries during morning business hours to completion. To keep stock rooms and products organized and moving to the store floor in a timely manner.

Schedule: T,F 6AM-2:30PM | M,W,Th 7AM-3:30PM

RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Service

• Offers the highest quality customer service, leads staff by example.
• Greets customers, answering questions/concerns as needed.
• Offer storewide customer support.

Receiving

• Receive incoming deliveries by breaking down pallets in a timely manner
• Checking in orders against the invoice, ensuring all items were sent.
• Stage product for stockers on the store floor, to be stocked.
• Identify and write up damaged, short dated, and mispicked items
• Keep backstock rooms organized and clean. Including bulk products.

Department Responsibilities

• Assist stockers with orders when necessary
• Refilling low or empty bulk bins when necessary
• Transfer items to and from secondary store warehouse.
• Hold items and call customers regarding special orders.
• Scan out damaged and expired items from the POS system
• Backstock departments on slow/late delivery days

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
• Ability to stand for a long period of time (up to 8 hours).
• Perform frequent physical motions such as kneeling, bending, climbing, and pushing/pulling.
• Understand and retain directions.
• Excellent communication skills, whether it be verbal, notes, or emails.
• Ability to use problem solving skills to work autonomously, make judgment calls, and use data or circumstance to evaluate and solve a problem.
• Work in a cooperative manner with all coworkers.
• Maintain composure under any circumstance.
• Give clear instruction, while also exhibiting strong listening and interpersonal skills.
