What are the responsibilities and job description for the Risk Arb Analyst - Equities position at Thurn Partners?
A merger arbitrage / event-driven book, sitting within of one of the largest and most established multi-strategy platforms globally, is adding a seasoned Risk Arb Analyst to work directly alongside the PM.
The Seat:
Senior involvement across live deal situations - spread analysis, deal risk assessment (regulatory, financing, shareholder vote, MAC exposure), catalyst tracking, and position sizing input, with direct line into the PM's decision-making.
This is as much a judgment and communication seat as a technical one - deals move fast, information is often incomplete, and being able to accurately read a situation, and the people in it, matters as much as the model.

Requirements:
Tenured analyst from a credible long/short equity, event-driven, or special situations background, with a demonstrable track record.
Exceptional judgment under pressure - calm, rational, and decisive when situations are moving quickly and information is imperfect.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal instincts - not just technically capable in isolation.
Long humility Short Ego.
