Role Summary
This role is intended to support Design Validation (DV) activities, specifically LV124 electrical stress testing, E‑Fuse inrush current characterization and environmental testing. These tests are critical to meeting Lucid requirements, validating ECU robustness under electrical stress, and reducing program risk ahead of key milestones.
This test engineer position will support execution and documentation of DV testing under the guidance of senior engineers.
Typical Day in the Role
· Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is to perform electrical and environmental testing, including operation of thermal chambers and power supplies.
· Key projects: This role supports the development and validation of electrical equipment through hands‑on testing, data collection, and in‑house reporting.
Candidate Requirements
· Years of Experience Required: 1-2 overall years of experience in the field.
· Degrees or certifications required: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required
· Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain -
· Experience working at an OEM or Tier 1 supplier is a significant advantage
· Prior work in a dedicated test house is highly beneficial
· Scripting proficiency and the ability to automate test processes are strong pluses
· Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on meeting deadlines.

· Hard Skills Assessment Process: The assessment process will include multiple rounds
· Required Candidate Preparation: Candidates should be ready to discuss all prior work history related to this role, their proficiency in oscilloscopes, DMMs and be able to confidently speak on how electricity works.
Key Responsibilities
· Support execution of LV124 electrical stress tests per approved test plans and internal specifications
· Assist with E‑Fuse inrush current testing, including test setup, waveform capture, and preliminary analysis
· Configure and operate laboratory equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, current probes, and electronic loads
· Document test conditions, results, and observations to support DV/PV reporting
· Organize waveform data, plots, and test artifacts for engineering review
· Work closely with senior DV engineers to ensure coverage, schedule adherence, and safe lab operations
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
· Basic understanding of automotive electrical systems and lab testing practices
· Familiarity with oscilloscopes, power supplies, and current measurement techniques
· Strong attention to detail and willingness to work hands‑on in a validation lab environment
· Strong skills working with Microsoft Word and Excel for data organization, analysis and report generation.
