Director, Business Management Reporting

Overview
A leading live events and entertainment organization is seeking a Director of Business Management Reporting to lead management and corporate reporting and provide in-depth financial analysis across multiple lines of business. This role partners closely with production, operations, and senior leadership to establish budgets, track real-time performance, and evaluate profitability.
The ideal candidate is a strategic finance leader with strong production or project accounting experience, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee corporate and management reporting, including consolidation, departmental forecasts, and annual operating plans
- Lead monthly financial and operational forecasting, including detailed variance analysis
- Prepare executive-level presentations, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses for senior leadership and key stakeholders
- Partner with production and operations teams to develop budgets, monitor spend, and assess project-level and business-unit profitability in real time
- Drive finance and reporting initiatives that improve operational efficiency, transparency, and scalability
- Lead, mentor, and develop finance managers and analysts; optimize team structure and workflows as the organization grows
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in coordination with accounting and FP&A teams
- Ensure effective, recurring financial review meetings with management and cross-functional partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (required)
- 9 years of project, production, or cost accounting experience (or equivalent financial experience)
- 5 years of people leadership experience, including building, restructuring, and scaling teams
- Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills
- Strong executive communication and presentation abilities
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Experience with financial consolidation and planning tools; OneStream experience preferred
- Experience supporting close processes in a complex, multi-entity organization or large public company environment preferred
