Marina Assistant

Thunderbolt Marine, Inc. is accepting applications for a full-time Marina Assistant that has experience with Yachts of various sizes and in-depth knowledge of docking procedures and equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist transient and long-term boaters in docking and getting underway.
• Comply with OSHA and TMI Safety and Environmental Regulations and Standards.
• Perform fueling and pump-out operations.
• Provide information to boaters and take reservations for dockage.
• Inspect docks and grounds at the beginning of the day and each hour as operations permit to check for problems and concerns.
• Maintain neat and clean marina docks, dock shop and surrounding grounds.
• Assist in minor dock and facility maintenance and repairs.
• Operate cash register, credit card machine and computer in making all sales in dock shop and fuel and dockage transactions.
• Maintain and submit daily accounting reports.
• Perform other tasks and work as directed by Management.

Requirements:

• Must be able to swim.
• General boat knowledge and experience.
• Ability to communicate docking instructions and provide useful boating information to customers.
• Basic accounting skills for daily sales calculations and inventory reconciliation.
• Ability to operate, respond to inquiries and capture reservations through the boater network Dockwa. Organize reservations relative to space available and assess conditions when docking boats.
• Handling dock lines, moving small and large yachts and moving materials on grounds and docks.
• Must be able to Lift up to 75 pounds and be comfortable with heights.

Work Environment: 12-hour workday, weekends required. Must work outdoors. Occasional Overtime.
