Bartender - Full Time In our Cigar Lounge and/or Bird Bar at same location

Hiring for both day and night shifts. To meet the bars opening and closing, these are the opening starting times and the closing times. :For opeing shifts Monday – Friday at 11:30 am, Saturday & Sunday at 9:00 am. For ending closing shifts Sunday-Thursday at 12:30am, Friday and Saturday at 2:30 am.

BARTENDER JOB -SUMMARY: Employees interact with customers positively by providing friendly, accurate, and prompt service to our lounge guests. Bartender & Staff welcome our guests, take food and beverage orders, enter orders into the POS, mix spirit beverages and pour beverages. Bartender & Staff deliver beverages, side dishes, appetizers, main meal, and desserts promptly. Collect payment in full following procedures and policy. Bartender & Staff will cook in air fryer after kitchen closes and will keep the lounge areas clean, neat, sanitized, organized, and stocked with items necessary.

This position will be scheduled for night and day shifts. Shifts scheduled will mainly be bartender shifts, with server shifts scheduled if needed.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

• Employees work 100% within a secondhand smoking environment during all shifts.
• Employees will be responsible for periodically serving outside in the beer garden.

EXPIERENCE AND/OR KNOWLEDGE TO PERFORM THE FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

• A minimum of 2-year Bartender and Serving experience in a high-volume spirit’s lounge is required.
• Point of Sale Experience {minimum 1 year experience required)
• Basic Math Skills
• Excellent customer service skills within a lounge/bar position.
• Ability to manage tasks in a timely and efficient manner to give excellent guest service.
• Understanding of and compliance with proper WA alcohol mixology and service requirements, food handling and sanitation rules and regulations applying these to your work duties, including personal hygiene and hair requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good customer observation skills
• Good short-term memory and attention to detail
• Ability to get along with others and work as team with coworkers.
• Conflict resolution skills

PHYSICALL REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM JOB:

• Must be able to carry a service tray of beverages or food constantly during shifts.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to stay on feet, walking and carrying items throughout your shift.
• Must be able to bend, stoop and use a step stool or ladder safely.

LICENSING OR OTHER CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Must be 21 years of age or older due to alcohol license requirements.
• A current WA State Food Warder Card and current WA State MAST Class 12 permit is required.

Pay range for this position:

Minimum starting wage is $17.13/hour, plus the opportunity to earn tip income
