The Opportunity
We’re looking for a creative, data-driven Marketing Manager to help shape and grow the Thunderbird brand. In this role, you’ll plan and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns that expand our global user base, deepen engagement, and strengthen awareness of our mission and products.
This is a hands-on role focused on execution and managing external partners, with the opportunity to grow into people leadership as the team expands. You’ll collaborate with Product, Design, Support, and Community teams to deliver coordinated, impactful marketing programs that connect millions of users around the world to our open-source products.
What You’ll Do
You’ll work with our passionate staff and open-source community members from all over the globe to support the mission and objectives of MZLA Technologies Corporation.
This is a remote full-time position. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential for effective collaboration across time zones and disciplines.

What You’ll Do
- Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital, email, and social channels.
- Develop or direct the creation of high-quality content including blogs, newsletters, website copy, social posts, videos, and release communications.
- Lead general brand and growth initiatives that strengthen awareness and user engagement across all audience segments.
- Manage relationships with agencies, contractors, and creative partners to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.
- Partner with the Product Director on go-to-market activities and launch communications.
- Track and analyze performance metrics and use insights to improve campaign effectiveness.
- Collaborate across teams, including Product, Support, Design, and Community Programs, to ensure consistent messaging and alignment.
- Maintain operational efficiency through organized workflows, campaign documentation, and process improvements.
- 8 years of progressive marketing experience in the tech space, with demonstrated success executing multi-channel campaigns, including web, social and digital.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing or directing the work of others, including staff and external partners (contractors, agencies, or freelancers).
- Demonstrated experience with email marketing strategy, including segmentation, automation workflows, and conversion optimization.
- Experience creating high-quality marketing content, including blogs, newsletters, website updates, release announcements, videos, and social posts.
- Strong storytelling, writing, and editing skills with attention to tone and brand consistency.
- Analytical mindset with experience using data to guide campaign strategy.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools (Google Analytics, CMS, social media management, email platforms).
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfort operating in a lean, fast-paced environment where both strategy and execution are hands-on.
- Experience working cross-functionally with product, design, and technical teams.
- Collaborative, self-starter mindset with the ability to operate both independently and within distributed teams.
- Experience working in open-source, mission-driven, or community-supported environments.
- Fluency in a second language such as German, French or Japanese.
