Production Supervisor Essential Functions
- Oversee production schedule and quality standards of the department.
- Oversee and ensure safety of team.
- Responsible for continuous improvement and cost control of the group - scrap and rework improvements, control cost of manufacturing process, prepare material and present monthly meetings.
- Supervise employees - train employees, update records, write and present employee evaluations, assist in hiring for department, set goals and track progress of department.
- Proven experience as a production supervisor or similar role.
- Strong leadership abilities.
- Effective communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills.
- Intermediate computer skills (MS Office).
- Basic financial understanding.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- Frequently required lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds.
- Frequently required standing, bending, squatting, and reaching with hands and arms.
- Regularly required to stand for extended periods, walk, talk, and hear.
- Ability to use hand tools.
- Ability to read applicable instructions.
