Housekeeping Position Overview
Performs custodial duties as needed. Assists in sanitation control and checks safety hazards. Receives supervision from Production Manager. Does not supervise any other employees. This is a full time 2nd shift position that works Monday - Friday 8 hours a day.
Housekeeping Essential Functions
- Performs cleaning and janitorial duties, and may include limited ground maintenance.
- Reports needs for major repairs to maintenance.
- Keeps janitor's closets and supply area neat and orderly, and reports supply orders to purchasing.
- Cleans debris from entrances and sidewalks.
- Controls sanitation and waste disposal of all office and communal areas of the plant.
- Assists in checking plant/production areas for safety hazards and reports any deficiency.
- Follows regular cleaning schedule for all areas of plant.
- Maintains a clean working environment for himself/herself and the rest of the plant.
Housekeeping Required Experience
- Some custodial experience required.
- Ability to assist in keeping the plant clean and orderly.
Housekeeping Physical Demands and Work Environment
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Frequently required lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds.
- Frequently required standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms.
- Ability to read applicable instructions.
- Physically able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, and reach.
