2nd Shift CNC Technician

CNC Technician Position Overview

Responsible for performing tool changes/offsets of CNC machines. Produce first pieces which meet part print specification requirements. Required to setup the necessary gaging and the setup required work holding and tooling for the job.

CNC Technician Essential Functions

• Accurate and safe machine operation.
• Performing tool changes and offsets of CNC machines.
• Test operation of machines periodically.
• Trains all lower-level operators.
• Fix issues that might occur during the shift.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  
  

CNC Technician Required Experience

• Mechanical aptitude required.
• Must be able to handle physical, repetitive work and be able to stand on your feet for 8-12 hours a day.
• Must have knowledge of turning centers and milling machines.
• Knowledge of horizontal machining centers a plus.
• Must have basic G-code programming and editing skills.
• Knowledge of general machining processes and ability to read blueprints.
• Must be able to troubleshoot and resolve quality and production issues.
• Must be comfortable working with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Ability to Train, coordinate, communicate effectively with all departments.
  
  
  

CNC Technician Physical Demands and Work Environment

• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• Frequently required lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds.
• Frequently required standing, bending, squatting, and reaching with hands and arms.
• Regularly required to stand for long periods, walk, talk, and hear.
• Ability to use hand tools.
