Position Overview

Under direct supervision, you will assist in preparing, cooking, and serving meals while ensuring high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and efficiency. This role is essential in supporting daily food service operations for cadets and staff.

Compensation:

$16.34 per hour, Paid Monthly

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals, salads, and desserts according to the master menu
• Cut and prepare meats, poultry, and fish
• Serve meals in a professional and courteous manner
• Operate commercial kitchen equipment (ovens, steamers, slicers, dishwashers)
• Follow standardized recipes and dietary guidelines
• Assist with receiving, labeling, and storing food products
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining, and storage areas
• Remove trash and clean refrigeration units and equipment as needed
• Maintain required records and attend staff meetings and training

Qualifications

• Minimum six (6) months of experience in a commercial or institutional food service setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

Requirements

• Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License
• Ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Permit

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift at least 45 pounds
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and stretch
• Ability to stand for extended periods
