Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and packages to designated routes in a timely manner.
- Operate delivery vehicles, including vans and box trucks, while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling during transport.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring that packages are delivered safely.
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial driving or route driving is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and courier services is advantageous.
- Experience operating forklifts or similar equipment is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills are essential for effective communication with clients.
- Ability to manage physical demands including moving heavy items and standing for extended periods.
