Job Summary: The Practice Manager will oversee daily operations, staff management, and inventory control while ensuring the highest levels of patient care. This role is ideal for someone with leadership experience and a passion for the optical industry, who thrives in a dynamic, patient-focused setting.
Key Responsibilities:
-Manage and lead a team of staff, including hiring, disciplinary actions, PTO approvals, and performance evaluations.
-Assist in training new employees to maintain high standards of service and operational efficiency.
-Oversee inventory management, including tracking supplies, ordering, and financial reconciliation to ensure accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
-Handle patient concerns and issues with professionalism and compassion, prioritizing resolution to enhance satisfaction.
-Monitor office performance metrics and implement strategies to improve efficiency and patient experience.
-Collaborate with the current owner/optometrist on operational decisions and contribute to the overall success of the practice.
Qualifications:
-Proven experience in a managerial role, preferably in healthcare or retail; optical or optometric experience is highly desirable.
-Strong numerical aptitude with experience in inventory management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead a team and resolve conflicts effectively.
-Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and a compassionate approach to handling concerns.
Proficiency in office software (e.g., Office/Sheets, EHR systems); familiarity with optical-specific tools is a plus.
-Degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred, but not required.
Compensation and Benefits: Competitive base salary (majority of compensation), with negotiable performance-based incentives paid as bonuses tied to office metrics.
