What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fuel & Lube Technician - Black Thunder Mine position at Thunder Basin?
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Perform all assigned maintenance and repair on mobile mining equipment
- Be actively involved in the Sabers Process
- Have a positive attitude, with good commination skills
- Need to be a self-starter
- Need to be able to work outside in changing weather condition safely
- Need to be able to perform tasks by yourself
- Need to be able to Identify Hazards in work areas and solve or have solutions.
- Clean and make minor repairs to maintain fuel station and lube truck
- Log all fuel and oils into a Lincoln system
- Ensure Proper greasing of equipment
- Make minor repairs to equipment you are servicing
- Operate lube truck effectively and Safely
- Fuel trucks and support equipment at fuel station and in field
- Take oil samples, as needed
- Properly complete daily reports
- May be assigned to other maintenance groups to repair and maintain other equipment
- All other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must have a work ethic that allows him/her to demonstrate his/her ability daily with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to complete assignments in a safe and appropriate manner with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Must have excellent interpersonal/communication skills and an ability to work with others in a team environment.
- Must be willing to work in adverse conditions including, but not limited to, extreme heat, cold, dust, rain, snow and wind, as well as frequent contact with grease and dirt.
- Must demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance.
- Must be able to work rotating shifts.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
