What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Technician (Surveyor) - Black Thunder Mine position at Thunder Basin?
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Oversee the surface surveying effort.
- Perform surface surveying as part of the surveying team.
- Prepare reports and update mine maps and profiles using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Maintain AutoCAD and I-Site files.
- Work with engineers in design of new mine projections and projects.
- Interface daily with supervisors.
- All work must be performed in strict compliance with established environmental and safety procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Associate degree in surveying - qualified experience may be substituted for degree.
- Proficient with AutoCAD and I-Site Studio software.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficient with setup and operation of survey level equipment.
- Proficient with setup and operation of Trimble GPS and I-Site survey equipment.
- Solid knowledge and experience of surveying fundamentals, calculations, and note taking techniques.
Salary : $23 - $30
