Thumper Pond Resort is seeking a friendly, professional, and highly organized Hotel Front Desk Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth and pleasant stay.
Responsibilities:
- Guest Services:
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival and departure.
- Check guests in and out efficiently and accurately.
- Assign rooms and issue room keys.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
- Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
- Assist guests with luggage, transportation, and other needs as requested.
- Process wake-up calls and special requests.
- Maintain a positive and welcoming demeanor at all times.
- Reservations & Administration:
- Manage reservations, including inputting new bookings, modifying existing ones, and canceling as needed.
- Process payments (cash, credit card, etc.) and handle billing inquiries.
- Maintain accurate guest records and room availability.
- Answer incoming phone calls, direct calls, and take messages.
- Manage mail and package deliveries for guests.
- Handle cash and maintain a balanced till.
- Prepare daily reports and reconcile transactions.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with other departments (housekeeping, maintenance, food and beverage) to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate department.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
- General Duties:
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby area.
- Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in hospitality a plus.
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
- Proficiency in using hotel management software (PMS) is a plus (e.g., Opera, FOLS, etc.).
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
