At Thump, we believe ordinary things can be used for extraordinary good — and a great cup of coffee is no exception. We've opened a brand-new café inside Bend's Central Library and looking for someone who loves the craft, loves people, and is ready to show up and do the work.
Weekend availability is required for this role.
The Role Full or Part-Time Barista. Based at our new Central Library location in Bend, Oregon.
Pay: $15.05/hr tips (tips average ~$12/hr depending on season). Certified baristas earn $16.55/hr tips.

What You'll Do
- Prepare and serve high-quality drinks with care and consistency
- Process orders and payments at the register
- Deliver genuine, attentive service to every guest
- Keep the café clean, organized, and running smoothly
- Complete opening, mid, and closing shift duties
- Monitor inventory and flag low supplies to the café manager
- Communicate clearly and directly with guests and teammates
- Show up for your team and contribute to a positive work environment
What You Bring
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Genuine love for coffee and eagerness to keep learning
- Comfort in a fast-paced, people-facing environment
- Clear communication and openness to feedback
- The ability to work as part of a team and hold your own
- Weekend availability
- 1–2 years of customer service experience (preferred, not required)
- Belief that ordinary things can be used for extraordinary good

- $15.05/hr starting tips (~$12/hr average)
- Raises through our internal barista certification program — certified baristas earn $16.55/hr tips
- After 1 year: SIMPLE IRA with up to 3% company match
