Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Roll-Off Driver with safe driving records to join our dynamic transportation team. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely operating a pickup truck with a goose neck roll-off trailer, to transport waste containers and materials efficiently. Your expertise will ensure timely delivery and pickup of roll-off containers while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties
- Safely operate a variety of equipment, like pickup truck with a goose neck roll-off trailer, loader, forklift, excavator
- Load and unload waste containers and materials accurately using mechanical knowledge of truck mechanisms
- Drive commercial vehicles over short and long distances while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Perform routine inspections of trucks before and after trips to ensure mechanical integrity and safety compliance
- Load and unload containers at designated sites, ensuring proper placement and securement for transport
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate schedules and resolve any operational issues promptly
Experience
- Experience driving and backing up a truck and trailer around curves and obstacles
- Strong mechanical knowledge of truck components, hydraulic systems, and general automotive repair and maintenance
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely in compliance with safety standards
- Delivery driver experience preferred, with a focus on timely pickups and drop-offs in a fast-paced environment
- Valid chauffeur license and medical examiners certificate. (NO CDL REQUIRED)
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy vehicle operation and waste management practices
