Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while ensuring that their orders are prepared accurately and efficiently.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to standard recipes.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering any questions about the menu.
- Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Stay knowledgeable about menu items and promotions to effectively assist customers.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food service or coffee industry is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change.
- Familiarity with cash registers; experience with Aloha POS is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for coffee and food preparation is highly desirable.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
