Job Overview
Throne Solutions is looking for a reliable and experienced Information Technology Support Engineer to provide on-site technical support for a network cutover activity at our client site in Lebanon, Ohio, USA.
The engineer will assist with on-site IT infrastructure activities, equipment installation, cable management, and cutover support to ensure the activity is completed smoothly and efficiently.
Candidates who can handle both Access Point (AP) mounting and scissor lift operation are highly preferred. Please mention these capabilities clearly when submitting your profile.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide on-site IT support during the scheduled network cutover.
* Assist with network equipment installation, replacement, and connectivity checks.
* Support Access Point (AP) mounting and installation, where required.
* Assist with cable routing, dressing, labeling, and cable management.
* Operate a scissor lift safely for AP installation, if qualified and authorized.
* Follow client instructions and site safety procedures.
* Coordinate with the remote network team and client representatives.
* Verify equipment connectivity and report activity completion.
* Ensure all tools and equipment are available before arriving at the site.
Required Tools and Equipment
The engineer must bring the following tools and equipment:
* Windows laptop with PuTTY installed, fully charged, with charger.
* USB stick/drive (8 GB or 16 GB).
* Keyboard and mouse.
* Monitor with HDMI cable.
* IT toolkit, including an Allen key and screwdriver (mandatory).
* Cable ties / Velcro tape for proper cable dressing.
* RJ45 Ethernet cable.
* Console cable(s) required for network equipment access.
* Mobile phone with Microsoft Teams or Webex installed.
* Any additional tools required for AP mounting, if applicable.
Additional requirement: If the engineer is responsible for AP mounting using a scissor lift, they must confirm the availability of the required lift and any necessary operator authorization or certification. Please specify whether the engineer can provide the scissor lift and operator, and whether any additional charges apply.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Experience in IT support, network infrastructure, or field engineering.
* Familiarity with network cutover activities and basic connectivity troubleshooting.
* Knowledge of network devices, cabling, and equipment installation.
* Ability to work independently at the client site.
* Strong communication and coordination skills.
* Must have all required tools and be available on 17th October 2026.
* Must be a local engineer or able to travel to the site.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Hands-on experience with wireless Access Point mounting.
* Scissor lift operation experience with appropriate authorization.
* Previous experience supporting network deployments, migrations, or cutovers.
