Job Description:
Throgs Neck Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Marketer/Hospital Liaison to join our team. This role will be responsible for driving facility admissions by establishing and nurturing relationships with hospitals, physicians, discharge planners, social workers, and other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Administrator, Admissions Director, Marketing Coordinator, and Regional Teams to ensure smooth and successful referrals.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to meet census goals and enhance the facility’s reputation within the community.
Build and maintain relationships with patients, families, and referral sources to convert inquiries into admissions.
Respond to all inquiries in person, by phone, and via online referral systems.
Communicate admission criteria to referral sources, residents, and families.
Facilitate complaint handling and collaborate with the team to resolve issues.
Represent the facility professionally and maintain a positive public image.
Ensure thorough documentation of resident data to ensure appropriate placements.
Track and follow up on all pending referrals and inquiries.
Work with the Admissions Director to maintain statistics on admissions, conversions, and marketing activity.
Develop and maintain partnerships with local hospitals, physicians, and community organizations to increase referrals.
Coordinate marketing outreach events and assist with planning and executing marketing initiatives.
Supervise and collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator to ensure successful marketing strategies and conversion rates.
Participate in community and hospital presentations to increase awareness of the facility's services.
Ensure the highest level of service and care for residents and families in a compassionate and professional environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in marketing, preferably in a healthcare or nursing home setting.
Strong professionalism and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.
Previous nursing home experience is preferred but not required.
This is an exempt position requiring flexibility, including attendance during off-business hours as needed.
