Role Description The Assistant or Associate Teacher role is a full-time, on-site position located in Somersworth, NH. The Assistant or Associate Teacher supports lead teachers in planning and facilitating daily activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Responsibilities include engaging with children in play-based learning, helping maintain a safe and organized classroom, assisting with classroom routines such as meals, rest time, and transitions, and reinforcing positive behavior and conflict resolution strategies. The role involves communicating with teaching staff and families, preparing learning materials, following center policies and licensing regulations, and contributing to an inclusive and respectful classroom culture.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Assistant Teaching and supporting classroom instruction.
- Strong Communication abilities for interacting with children, families, and team members.
- Background or interest in Education and early childhood development.
- Experience Working With Children in group settings such as childcare, camps, or schools.
- Ability to maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for diverse learners.
- Reliability in following schedules, procedures, and state childcare regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or credentials in Early Childhood Education preferred.
- Associate role requires 9 early education credits, including at least 3 in Child Growth & Development.
- Capacity to stand, move, and engage in activities with children throughout the day.
- Willingness to complete background checks and any required childcare certifications.
